ABOUT US

Our Purpose
To help solve problems within the context of families rather than through placement outside the home. Services are based on the tenant that the family is the most powerful social institution and that families should be supported and maintained whenever possible. NPYS seeks to develop, support, and empower the family unit by teaching problem solving skills, assisting parents in becoming advocates for themselves, and coordinating available community resources. New Pathways brings services into the home and develop a comprehensive treatment plan to address the family’s practical and material difficulties together with their psychological or mental health treatment needs. We are committed to family success!

Our Philosophy
  • We believe that persons with serious mental illness can recover and achieve self–sufficiency.
  • We believe in a holistic, bio-psychosocial, community based approach to all services.
  • We believe that we can significantly contribute to the creation of atmosphere where individuals are recognized for their unique contributions, and by our actions, show dignity and respect for every person.
  • We believe that financial stability is essential to providing quality services that will meet the needs of our clients and staff.
  • We believe that functional collaboration and partnerships with other community resources is the best way to provide effective mental health support and services.
  • We believe we must demonstrate a deep respect for all people, and do our best to be increasingly aware of our clients’ diverse histories and the individual needs of staff, family members, and all others who make up our community.
  • We are dedicated to eliminating barriers based on race, gender, ethnicity, religion, age, national origin, marital status, disability, and sexual orientation.
